Vilnius, Lithuania - 11th July to 14th July 2025

This was a side trip, I found out my aunt was visiting Vilnius for a couple of weeks, so we decided to fly to Vilnius and catch up with her.

I'm glad I took this photo on our first walk around town. The decorations were removed the following day. Not sure what was being celebrated.

End of a church service, it was a special service for the Graduating kids and their families.

A portal, we never did find where the other one was.

There are 48 Churches in the Old Town of Vilnius, not sure if they are counting this one. This church has been renovated and inside is a restaurant.

Restaurant entry. We have already chosen where we will be eating tonight so we will not be eating pizza.

Konrado Cukraine, a pastry cafe with traditional Lithuanian pasties.

And in the evenings, Konrado Cukraine set up their "Karstos Varskes Spurgos" (hot Lithuanian curd cheese donut) cart.

Had to try it, 

The name may put you off, but it doesn't taste too bad. Not like Donuts at home, still good.

Dinner, Crispy Pork knuckle with sauerkraut and mash potato and top is pork ribs, both delicious. 

First full day, Saturday 12th July 2025, we are meeting the family for lunch and then Martin and I will go see the National Muesum.

Lunch, Pork Cutlet or the Roast pork and Kibinai, similar to a Cornish pasty, one pork and cheese the other is chicken.
