Marina is really a stop on the side of the Canal, pay for electricity from the Pay machine, a bit like if you are paying for a car park. No other facilities.

 The town does have a large supermarket and a large hardware store.

Where to next?

Short answer is Left!

To put that into context, here's a shot from google maps. Red line shows us coming from Winningen down to Nancy where we are now. We're going left heading on the Canal de la Marne au Rhin Est and heading to Strasbourg.

From there, we will either come back here and then head south to St Jean de Losne or go (up river or down the map) on the Rhine to Mulhouse and then follow the Doubs river.

This is the sort of information that I have (from eurocanals.com) that shows me a whole bunch of information. Yesterday we picked up a remote for the 25 ish automatic locks for this section and we'll hand it back at lock 2.

Shower, there is only one each for the ladies and men. there is a very nice area to wait, so take a book or your phone. Very large and the changing area is also large. Unlimited hot water. 

Birds with 'issues'

I thought the output from the solar wasn't as good as it could be and we had heard a bird on the roof last night.

Thionville - 20th May to 21st May

 Public dock, no electricity or water.

Lovely town with a large supermarket, Carrefour, walking distance from the dock.

Very people friendly with lots of paving and not very many cars
