Bischberg - Thursday 23 June to 28th June 22 (5 nights)

We had a look at the moorings close to Bamberg, hoping there will be a spot only to discover there where 2 spots but we were not going to fit.

The docks are small, you each get a dock and a walkway to land, so they are separate.

Onto the marina in Bischberg
  • Electricity is included in the price, Non drinking water but Charly said they have been drinking it for the last 50 years, if you are willing to try, the taps are a long way off from the docks, so will need an adaptor to connect your hose to the hoses already there.
  • Bus into Bamberg, long and our drivers didn't put the aircon on. Better than not being able to go a all.
  • Supermarket close, walking distance from the marina, includes an Action, Kaufland, and Baumarkt (it's a hardware store) small shopping centre and a very large shoe store and a couple of restaurants

In the background behind the trees is the shower block, 2 showers with private dressing area. They face the afternoon sun, so get stuffy once your are out of the shower.
and yes there is another Greenline in the marina, had drinks with the owner, they where going in the opposite direction so we swapped information.

Invited to the marina's Summer Festival, all the members of the club were very welcoming
Harbour master Charly and his wife Erika behind Martin and I (not sure of the name of the lady in the back) are wonderful people very helpful, Charly, acted as postman as well, letting us get parcels delivered to the marina.
They both love to played Rummikub, be warned, Erika is very good at it.

The band, they may be old but they where pretty good and yes, the Ouzo was exceptional.

Time for a fire not sure why (see screen shot below, it was reaching 13 at 5:30am), but it has a nice feel to it.

Now that is a shot glass, one you can eat.
