Bruges - 16th May to 22ndMay 2025

We took a day trip to the bridge to see how it was going and to charge the batteries a bit, Stalhillebrug is still under repair, they can't guarantee it will be fixed tonight. We may have to start on Plan B when we work out what that will be.

About 3:00pm the Water Management drove past and informed us we can now go through. One of the counterweights fell on the bridge and damaged the bridge.

Made it to Bruges, finally.

Bruges, often referred to as the "Venice of the North," is a picturesque city in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It's renowned for its canals, cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. And then there is the movie "In Bruges" that was filmed in 2008 here.

Marina in Bruges, very quiet this time of year.

Not the best angle for a photo, there was a container right across the road but I liked the look of the building

Tastiest rusty tools around. Yes, it is Belgian chocolate.

Inside everything a young wizard would need.
